Nick Kettle is a strong fiscal conservative, and a Republican. He holds the distinction as the youngest Senator to ever be elected to the Rhode Island General Assembly. Senator Kettle currently serves on the Committee of Environment and Agriculture as it's secretary and on the Committee of Housing and Municipal Government. Nick believes these positions are important as they afford him a strong voice and advocate for the rural communities of our state. Nick strongly believes our state should return to the ideals and principles of the founding fathers. He believes taxes should be lowered and a strict interpretation of our Constitution should be implemented. He will fight to keep spending down and the state's government limited. Nick is an eagle scout from Troop 39 Summit where he climbed Mt. Katahdin, canoed 100 miles on the St. Croix river. He also holds a third Degree Black Belt in Uechi- Ryu Karate. He is currently going to Rhode Island College where he is pursuing a degree in History/Secondary Education where he hopes to find a positon as history teacher when he graduates.
